About Me

Kim Somebody

Hi! I do hope your enjoying this blog....I'm an entrepreneur with a dash of salt and pepper. Although I'm not a professional writer, I can still entertain and peek a curiosity. Anyways blogs are personal and fun....not meant to be set on rules. I started this blog for 2 reasons to show my love for wolves and also express that some stories about them can be either overly boosted or a complete lie.

I am a strong believer that wolves were never meant to be owned and one could say " I am a Hippocrate " My sweet Namush ( an Indian name meaning " Wolf With No Name " ) past away 4 years ago at 9 years old, that's about 79 in his life.
I got him from a wolf sanctuary as a pup. The rules of getting one back then were not as strong as they are now...nor were the rules and regulations of the wolf sanctuary. When I got Namush he suffered from malnutrition, losing his hair and very week, the woman at the sanctuary told me he was the runt and wasn't getting his fair share of the mothers milk, but in listening to the woman and letting my eye's wonder I saw that maybe none of them were getting there fair share so I made getting Namush a priority.

( note ) When I say sanctuary here.. I am merely trying to describe what it was suppose to be and not really using the words I would like to use. (if you get my drift)

I want to express that I am in no way by no means trying to discourage anyone from donating or offering some kind of help to the wildlife sanctuaries out there, in fact I am encouraging it full heartedly. There were a number of issues with this particular place that needed addressing, a few eye's needed to opened and within 2 months the sanctuary was shut down and the 26 wolves that were struggling to survive were given new homes.
The woman who owned the sanctuary bought a couple of wolves for breeding and profit. She received one year probation for neglect, cruelty and several other charges. It's a light sentence when you think about it.javascript:void(0)

As for Namush ...He was a very loving and gentle friend whom occasionally got loose and dealt with a skunk or two only to come home and jump on my bed and insisted I get up at 3am to take him on a mile walk. Whom trapped me in the basement and wouldn't get up from in front of the door until he finished eating the whopper I bought for myself after work. Whom was always there for me and knew when I was sick or hurting. Whom I so dearly miss today!

I dedicate this blog to the memory of Namush and tons of creative moments we shared.

The second reason for this blog is because up until last year I was a successful business owner of "Kim's Craft Consignment studio offering free shelf room in my store for anyone who couldn't afford the cost of a table at a fair or flee market, those costs are extremely high and if you didn't sell anything you were out that money.

A lot of my clients were handicapped, single parents, had an age issue or some very good reason needing my store. In November 2010 just before Thanksgiving the city forced me to close my doors and threatened me with a daily $2000.00 fine for each day I opened....WHY?? because those clients that once rented tables from the city expo no longer did so and the city was losing money....My business failed and all was lost taking the happy out of the holidays.
I am still trying to pick up the pieces.

Please enjoy my blog as I seem to be all over the place with three of them "haha" but if you think this blog is worth a cup of eggnog ...please feel free to donate!
